About Me

-Name: Emily
-I believe candy, when eaten in moderation, is fabulous.
-I am a vegan.
-A vegan, according to dictionary.com, is a vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet.
-This definition fits me.
-Some vegans omit all animal products from their lifestyle (for example: leather, wool, etc). To each his/her own.
-So what will I eat?
Although some white or refined sugars are processed in a way that bone char is used, there are no actual animal products in white sugar, therefore I do eat it. I eat any plant derived sweeteners, fats, colors, and flavors. I also eat, though less frequently, artificial flavors and colors.
-What will I not eat?
I refuse to eat anything animal derived, be it fats, flavors, colors, or sweeteners (such as honey). I also do not eat artificial sweeteners (such as aspartame etc).
-This is a blog about candy so, please don't question or comment on my dietary/lifestyle choices.
-Other than my slight addiction to sweets, I eat very healthily including loads of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans and legumes.
-If you have a candy you think I should try, tell me about it! :D
